Is it fashion, design, technology or art? Fashion designer Hussein Chalayan is pushing these traditional boundaries in a fashion context. In his Mermaid Wedding Dresses technological textile work, furniture is turned into clothing and catwalk dresses light up in shimmering colour. Chalayan has used his work to make a statement about conflict and the plight of refugees.
